Since 2000, the Protein Structure Initiative (PSI) supported the development of new technologies and methods that improve the throughput of protein structure determination. This effort resulted in the deposition of nearly 7000 protein structures to the Protein Data Bank, and the creation of over 20 million homology models over a 15-year period.
The Structural Biology Knowledgebase and its services continued to deliver PSI results for two years, and is concluding its services on July 5, 2017. The disposition of each SBKB component module is given here:
BioSync — a curated catalog of X-ray light facilities for biological research — will remain operational, but will move within the RCSB family of resources. Effective July 5, 2017, the new web address for BioSync will be http://biosync.rcsb.org.
TargetTrack — all of the files available on TargetTrack's "Data for Download" site (final release: July 1, 2017) are archived on Zenodo, the open research data repository. These data have been assigned DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.821654.
PSI Technology Portal — these technical reports have been retired.
PSI Publications Portal — the final bibliography of 2300+ PSI publications have been archived in CSV and Endnote formats on Zenodo. These data have been assigned DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.821648.
